Watching The Social Network the other night – directed by David Fincher, starring Jesse Eisenberg in the lead role – I realised, perhaps for the first time, just how much Facebook has left to conquer. Because, amazingly, although the firm boast billions of world-wide members, and are growing all the time, there are still a few countries such as China who they are yet to dominate. Something tells me they never will, and possibly that’s a good thing.
The internet is making people who use it smarter, what with all its facts and unlimited info, and it’s making people who DON’T use it…Well, they aren’t learning as much. In some cases they are learning very little indeed and just sitting, staring at the TV. Fact: whether it’s online or off, one thing that human beings will always love to complain about is advertising.
